Description:
Premium Lavender Oil production is not something one commonly associates with the country of New Zealand, however Lavender species were among the earliest plants introduced to New Zealand by Europeans due to its rich and fertile landscapes. Not all lavender oils are created equal and our New Zealand Lavender is very special.

Geographical differences create noticeable variations in the properties and scents of Lavender Oils around the world, with soil, aspect, climate, latitude and altitude all playing critical roles. New Zealand's lavender often comes from farms located in areas with rich local volcanic soil at a relatively high altitude and with a cool climate, resulting in a distinctive product with a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing, refreshing and subtle. 
Lavender production from New Zealand is relatively small compared to other major producing countries, so the limited amount of Lavender Oil that does come out of New Zealand is scarce and harder to source. 

Properties: 
Lavandula angustifolia has many medicinal properties, it can be anti-inflammatory, calming, sedative, skin healing and great for relieving headaches.

Massage:

Diffuser: 
Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia) is the most versatile of all essential oils.
In aromatherapy it can be diffused before bedtime as it has relaxing, sedative properties, creating a relaxing and soothing atmosphere and is great for winding down and promoting good sleep. Even a few drops or spray on the pillow will be helpful. It also has balancing properties that make it just as beneficial for boosting stamina and energy. Lavender can work on supporting the immune system and has anti-depressant properties, so can help with feelings of depression and anxiety. It is a decongestant so perfect for diffusing in baby's room when your little one suffers from a cold or cough. Vaporizer: Add 10-15 drops to vaporizer to scent the room.

Skin Care: Add 1-2 % (20-40 drops per 100ml) to cream, lotion or body butter for general body application.

Massage: Add 1-2 % (20-40 drops per 100ml) to nakedpress massage oil for general body application.

Bath: Add 5-10 drops to a fully drawn bath, having first mixed the essential oil with an emulsifier like liquid soap.
