Our Australian native Sandalwood Oil (Santalum Spicatum) is sustainably sourced from WA and is of the highest quality available. Today Australia is the only producer and exporter of sandalwood oil from S.Spicatum. Commercial export of Sandalwood in Australia began in 1840 and it was first distilled in 1875. It was subject to government regulation in the 1920s and now is cultivated in plantations in semi-arid parts of Western Australia.
Santalum Spicatum is a small evergreen tree with slender drooping branches, the leaves are 1-1.3 cm long and slender, the flowers brownish-red and inodorous. The external sapwood from the tree is white and odorless, while the heartwood is yellowish-brown and strongly scented. To create this beautiful 100% Pure Essential oil, the heartwood is dried and steam-distilled. Australian Sandalwood Oil has a rich, spicy, warm, and woody aroma that is very sensual and romantic.
Traditionally used for centuries as incense in various Indian religious ceremonies and for meditation, Sandalwood Oil has been identified to possess many benefits for use in aromatherapy applications as well as skincare and cosmetics. 
Australian Sandalwood Oil should not be confused with Indian Sandalwood Oil which has different properties.

Properties:
Astringent, aphrodisiac, antiviral, antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, expectorant, sedative and tonic.

Massage:
Added to massage oil, Sandalwood can act as a natural aphrodisiac and increase libido.

Skincare:
