Nutmeg Essential Oil is obtained from the seed of the nutmeg tree fruit. The aroma of Nutmeg Essential Oil can be described as a spicy, sweet, rich woody scent. The Nutmeg Tree (Myristica fragrans), is an evergreen tree indigenous to Indonesia, which can grow as tall as 30m in height. Traditionally, nutmeg was believed to be effective against the plague and hence it was popular during the Elizabethan era. The health benefits of Nutmeg oil have been known to include its ability to relieve stress, pain, menstrual cramps, heart disorders, indigestion, blood pressure, cough, and bad breath.
