Description:
The Rose comes originally from Asia Minor, it is cultivated mostly in Bulgaria, Iran and India. The Rose was valued by the Arab physician Avicenna (AD 980-1037), during the Middle Ages and during the Renaissance as a remedy for depression. One of the most prized aromatherapy oils, it takes up to 30 roses to produce just one drop of Rose oil. Rose has a beautiful, strong floral and sweet fragrance that is intoxicating and highly romantic. It's said to help bring balance and harmony with stimulating and uplifting properties that create a sense of well-being and self-confidence. It has been used for skincare for thousands of years. 

Properties:
Rose oil can improve acne, balance hormones, relieve anxiety, improve depression, reduce rosacea and naturally increase libido. Traditionally, rose oil has been used for grief, nervous tension, coughs, wound healing and general skin health, allergies, headaches and as a general anti-inflammatory.

Massage:
Added to your favourite carrier oil for example Sweet Almond, Coconut and Jojoba and used as a massage, this oil can be applied to the stomach to help ease PMS. Used in a massage it can also help boost libido. This oil has antispasmodic properties, making it useful in easing muscular cramps.

Skincare:
Rose oil, due to its antimicrobial properties and when added to a cream or lotion is very useful in fighting acne. Together with Thyme, Lavender and Cinnamon oil, Rose oil has some of the strongest antibacterial properties capable of destroying the bacteria that causes acne. This ability to fight germs makes it also safe to use on cuts, minor wounds and insect bites. As it is an astringent it may help slow the blood flow caused by these cuts and wounds and added to your facial cleanser or body wash it can help rejuvenate and moisturize the skin. Rose oil has anti-inflammatory properties, it also contains antioxidants to help fight off free radicals that can damage the skin and can cause aging and lines and wrinkles. These properties also make it the ideal oil to help ease dry itchy inflamed skin.
It will only take a few drops of this powerful oil to scent a variety of cosmetic products like face wash, body wash, or lotion with its sweet floral and spicy scent.

Haircare:
Rose oil added to your favourite shampoo can help strengthen hair roots.

Diffuser:
Used in the diffuser Rose oil has strong mood-boosting abilities and is helpful in relieving anxiety and depression and postnatal depression, especially when combined with Lavender oil.  It can help boost libido and sexual function and sex hormones. Inhaling Rose oil can be helpful in easing pain for people that suffer from painful periods. It has antiviral properties so inhaling the oil can help ease the side effects caused by the flu and the common cold.
